Energy Boost! Better Sleep! Better Sex!

We all have things to do. Adult life can be hectic at times. Between work, family, friends - the list goes on. During the hustle we sometimes forget to take time out for ourselves. Exercising is just one of the ways that will help ease the demands of life.

As we tackle the day to day, exercise tends to be pushed to the bottom of the list or pushed completely out of the picture, never to be seen again. Exercise provides us with many benefits,  here is a list of 7 benefits from exercise (mayoclinic.org):

  1. Weight control
  2. Exercise combats health conditions and diseases
  3. Improves mood
  4. Boosts energy
  5. Promotes better sleep
  6. Puts the spark back into your sex life
  7. Exercise can be fun and social

Exercise doesn't have to be some elaborate set up that takes days to plan and hours to complete. Keep it simple. Start off slow and work your way up. Go for a walk. Pushups and squats while you watch TV. Walk around the office at lunch. Use the stairs. Park your car further away from the store (hopefully it doesn't rain that day). The possibilities are endless. Make it fun. If you are not exactly sure what or how to do something, ask for help or join a gym (I know of a great one you should try).

In all seriousness, get up and move more. You are in control of your movement. It will not only benefit you physically but mentally as well. The idea of starting something new can be daunting yes. Focus on the benefits that will have a positive effect on you and the people around you (weight loss, improved health, improved mood, more energy, better sleep, improved sex life, learn new things, and meet new people). If you have any questions or would like some help please ask. Consistency is what will furnish the results you want not perfection.
